Inboard vs Outboard29 Feb 2004 21:12 GMT27
If this has been beat to death before, my apology.
I'm looking for a boat to enjoy upon retirement this May. Being poor,
I'll have to settle for an older boat, 30-32 feet. I've seen a number of boats
in my price range on my list, but have rejected the ones with an OB. But

Shipping my boat? ( Ancient City Marine Transport? )28 Feb 2004 17:56 GMT4
Hi all.  I was wondering if anyone has any comments to make about a
company called "Ancient City Marine Transport".  I'm about to hire
them to move my J/24 out to wisconsin.  This is the first time I've
had someone move my boat, so does anyone have any suggestions of
Waste management28 Feb 2004 13:00 GMT1
I've put a page up for those of you needing a waste management plan for
your boat.  USCG regs appear to require it for boats over 40' long.
It's a fill-in-the-blank form that prepares a page suitable for printing.

slip or mooring costs28 Feb 2004 10:24 GMT24
I am curious about slip or mooring costs around the country.  Please
reply telling the costs in your area and whether it is a slip or
mooring and what that provides and if there are any other costs.

Hi group,
A friend of mine whose parents own a home with dock at Mandalay Bay in

Four Winns Freedom 17027 Feb 2004 17:17 GMT6
I was just at the boat show in Boston last night, and i think im falling for
this Four Winns Freedom 170 O/B. Im debating on whether to spend the extra
$2500 for a 90HP Evinrude E-Tec or save the money and just go with a Johnson
90HP 2-stroke.
New Crownline 270CR  vs  Regal 2765 Express Cruisers27 Feb 2004 03:45 GMT7
We've owned a 19ft runabout for about 8 yrs and are ready to make the
leap to an Trailerable Express Cruiser.  We already own an F250
Diesel, so towing weight won't be an issue.  We've done our research
and visited multiple boat shows over the past 2 years and have
March Pump Question27 Feb 2004 03:19 GMT3
I have a Crosby 1/2 HP DC refrigerator/freezer on my boat, which normally runs
an hour or 2 a day.   Shortly before I hauled out for the winter, I found the
system in dire straights.  I'm not sure about the "cause and effect" but the
belt was very, very loose, it was making bad ...
Cetol Lite??27 Feb 2004 03:03 GMT11
I've been using regular Cetol on my last two boats.. I agree with most, that
it darkens the teak too much.. I like a more natural color..
At the time I finished my cap rail on this boat, I had a nearly full gallon
on hand and went ahead with that.. And sure enough, it gets darker ...

around a 1" ss tube (like a stanchion or bimini frame), with short
tabs to secure something to the tube.  Roughly 0.083 thickness, but
