Washington state wants to institute a revamped law to require boating drivers licenses. To those in states who have such laws, what are the pros and cons of your system and does it prevent accidents etc or is it just another red tape gizmo to collect money for the state?

I'm planning to install a new holding tank system in my 1959 Pearson Triton Yawl. According to Peggy Hall in "Get Rid Of Boat Odors" it is recommended that the vent in a holding tank be 1". But the standard for 20 gallon tanks seems to be 5/8". It is better to cut a new 1"

It's a 2 piece nylon suit, in red with black trim. Made in China, all the features you would expect, probably OK for coastal cruising, but certainly not offshore stuff. My jacket has some bad stitching and I will try to swap it for a better suit
