I dont know why this did not occurr to me sooner than this as I do a lot of electroplating. Put a thin layer of electrical conducting paint on the bottom of a boat.

There is hardly a worse place on a boat to place electrical wiring than on and around a bow-mounted windlass. It's just not possible to make things completely watertight and salt water will get at the windlass and the wiring. Lewmar ought to know that. Then why is it that all the ...

The 20-year-old Adler/Barbour unit on our Victory Tug has expired. Can't complain about the service, but what do you cruisers out there think about replacing it? Go with Adler/Barbour again, or is there a more up-to-date technology (and product) you'd recommend as superior?
