Have some sympathy for those of us who fight tendonitis from doing too
much computer work while trying to get our boats back in the water.
Having to scroll down through one or two pages of stuff we've already
read on each and every message in a long thread gets really irksome.

Valves and galvanic action31 Mar 2006 15:54 GMT15
My boat has a tee off the saltwater cooling intakes that can act as an
engine driven bilge pump.  The tee is copper pipe with the hoses coming
up from the thru hulls.  On the leg of the tee is a brass valve that has
a hose that reaches down into the bilge for pumping.
Raw Water Pump Perkins 4-154 help, please31 Mar 2006 09:20 GMT4
The other pump message got me thinking that perhaps there's someone
here who's conquered this particular dragon already:
My engine used to have a reefer compressor mounted to a very
substantial bracket, to which the normal Jabsco was also mounted, but

offering caribbean insurance anymore so I have to find a new insurance
company. Does anyone have an insurance underwriter that has caribbean

Sailboat price list.30 Mar 2006 13:51 GMT7
Like in real estate, Brokers have access to a listing of boats that shown at
what price they were sold.
I wonder if there is a way to access such listing.
cooling water question,..30 Mar 2006 10:52 GMT2
Trying to solve my water pump problem next.
Q: If I disconnect the output side of my water pump, should I be able
to blow air through it with my mouth and hear it come out the exhaust?
I think the water jacket might be plugged up somehow. It's a small
Woodwork projects29 Mar 2006 23:08 GMT9
Last year (before I did the reinstall of this computer which lost me all
the bookmarks I thought I had saved) I found a great website which had a
huge selection of DIY boat improvement projects. One which I
particularly remember is for a wooden waste bin that you push into a
Sewing Machine ,, Sailing,,, Repair ,, cloth,, etc question29 Mar 2006 14:56 GMT18
I have been reading Don Casey's book about repair, and upkeep of sailing
yachts.  He recommends getting a sewing machine so that sails, covers,
dodgers, etc can be repaired, made etc by the boat owner.
I don't know anything about sewing machines.
Followup question to Marathon Wind Patterns29 Mar 2006 06:56 GMT4
Followup question, as this group has been great in providing
alternative
ideas:
Our boat draws 6-6 in flat water, bouncy water is more, of course, and
Cooling water failure lesson28 Mar 2006 12:56 GMT5
Here's something about cooling water intakes I learned the hard way
last year even though, somewhere in the recesses of my mind, I'm sure
I knew
better at the time.
When is the best time ??? 27 Mar 2006 02:39 GMT11
Just a wondering ;;;  is spring a bad time to be searching for a sailboat?
It seems as if the sellers will say anything to get a potential buyer to
drive to the boat.  Buyer:  "what is the condition of the boat" ?
Seller:  "it is very clean, well maintained, ready to go"
Hurth Kbw10 Coupler27 Mar 2006 01:42 GMT4
I am looking for the output coupling flange for a Hurth kbw10
transmission. It came with my 2qm20 Yanmar. The nut got loose and the
inside is damaged. A source for a new one or a used one would be
great.
Eberspacher heater pump fault?27 Mar 2006 00:34 GMT3
Installing a Eberspacher D2 air heater but no action from the pump.  Can
any one confirm if I stick 12 volts across the pump connector it should
turn, or does it need a signal from the heater unit?
