(I re-post this message here because I cannot get any reply when I
posted it elsewhere.  Sorry about the re-post)
I am planning to get a 9.9hp outboard motor as an auxiliary motor.  But
I don't know how long the shaft should I get.  Should this be 15", 20",

When a boat that has been painted with Awlgrip
gets scratched, how do you repair the scratch.  If
it was gelcoat, you would just fill in the scratch
with matching color gelcoat, sand it fair, and

unsure of what to offer. He has experience in ocean crossings and as
crew. We know we will be paying for air, food, and hotel. What is a

NASA has recently answered with a world press release to the prediction
of a mega tsunami, created by a possible impact of a fragment of the
comet SW-3 on MAY 25, 2006 in the Atlantic Ocean. This prediction,
based on a clear and precise psychic communication, was confirmed by
Problem w/radar cable!29 May 2006 07:06 GMT4
My friend stored, for the winter, his mast along with the radar antenna and
cable in the spars shed for years.
This year it appears that the mice or squirrels have chewed on the cable and
the radar is not functioning.
Engine start29 May 2006 06:11 GMT1
I have a 1987 Bayliner Capri with an OMC 3 L 130 HP I/O.  I was trying
to get it going for the first time this spring.  When I turned the
ignition, it cranked for a while, but never started.  As I contined to
crank it, I heard something that sounded like a backfire, and now when
Distance finders27 May 2006 10:00 GMT4
I'm terrible at estimating distances when anchoring.  How far am I
from the shore, from a boat, from those rocks or that mark?

distance finders designed for golfers.
Minimizing Odors26 May 2006 03:02 GMT21
Ahhhh, the smell of the sea!!!
Unfortunately, our sailboat smells (stinks, actually) despite cleaning
throughout, checking the head & plumbing/holding tank, scrubbing the
bilge, and everything we can think of.  We haven't found any definitive
