Toilet orientation30 Nov 2006 19:43 GMT33
Why is it considered better design to have the marine toilet in a

Question on Towing29 Nov 2006 05:14 GMT15
Hello; Love this forum, and I've been reading it for a while. I own a 24'
Bayliner which has a 50 gallon gas tank in the stern engine area. I wonder -
can additional fuel be towed on a large inflatable, like a Zodiac?
Adding larger fuel tanks is not a good idea - it diminishes ...
Headsail size29 Nov 2006 02:50 GMT25
So I'm going to a roller furler jib for cruising. What size would be
best?

Single engine vs. twin engine28 Nov 2006 15:11 GMT8
(at the risk of sounding naive, but a question to help clear my
understanding...)
Other than some of the obvious ones ("spare" engine reliability, single

Do those small black and white tv's work?  How much power?  How do you power
one?  Battery?
While I have your attention ::   how much power does a laptop take up?
Turks & Caicos Courtesy Flag27 Nov 2006 22:18 GMT8
What courtesy flag do you need to fly in the Turks and Caicos?  Is the red
duster acceptable or do you need the T&C specific flag?

Hello dear boat-owners/users! I am doing research on use of PV
(photovoltaic cells) in boats. Please contribute with your opinions on
this subject. I created a questionnaire for you at

Old mechanical VDO Sumlog25 Nov 2006 21:48 GMT2
I have an old mechanical VDO sumlog.  Last season the inner cable
broke.
My question is, how is the cable connected to the impeller?  It seems
to be quite a solid connection and so far no amoutn of checking has

Have the subject boat and getting ready to single hand to the south
pacific. Boat is basic with the 3 typical headsails in good shape. I'm

What say you all for an old (65) single hander?
Most People Will Never Know About Biodiesel24 Nov 2006 04:17 GMT11
What kind of difference can the use biodiesel make when it comes to
changing the world for the better? Perhaps the biggest impact of the
use of biodiesel fuel instead of just plain diesel is on the human
health and the environment.
