I got a message saying I could not fetch due to too many connections.  I use
Ouchlook Express as my reader - is there a setting I can use to make this
problem go away?
Thanks.
Outboard Motor Stand30 Jun 2008 19:06 GMT16
I want to build an Outboard Motor Stand to store and repair my 4 HP engine
when needed.
At this time, I do not have any set plan.  I would appreciate any tips,
ideas or plans.

Just like Roger, I found a way into aioe, the free newsreader client.

On the hard in Fernandina Beach, rounding third toward launching, and still
lots of chores to do.
Boat Problem Question29 Jun 2008 19:21 GMT36
We are back home because we have an intermittent problem and decided
to come back to deal with it rather than wait and be stuck somewhere.
What is the problem?
Bob has his idea, but I'd like any alternate opinions.
Don't buy a SPOT quite yet29 Jun 2008 16:25 GMT4
I've been having some trouble getting my SPOT Beacon to go reliably into
tracking mode.  I appears at this point to be a case of following the
instructions too carefully.  I'll let you know.
However, this statement in the email from customer service set me back a

Virtual cruising.29 Jun 2008 15:14 GMT1
I admit, I read Hubbard/Neals post on sailing with all the new stuff
and it reminded me of a talk I saw by a guy from Garmin.  He was
discussing all the new stuff they have and he showed how their new GPS
can interface with Google Earth so you can get a view of where you are

I'm looking for a place to haul my boat (50' sail) and leave it for 6

Victoria?

Fife Regatta27 Jun 2008 19:05 GMT5
Went for a sail on my pal's 72-footer last Tuesday, the intention being to
watch the Fifers on their race from Rhu to Rothesay.
We were on a big boat, but dwarfed by some of these old timers.
Got some great pictures.

March 14 - On the road again...
Well, as the song said, we hit the road again.  As is sometimes
my custom, I'm working backward from the title to get to the
present, but it suffices to say that we're aground, so to speak,
Astra IIIB sextant25 Jun 2008 16:01 GMT10
Anybody have an opinion on the Chinese-made Astra IIIB sextant? Two are
being offered for sale at this very moment on Ebay.
Copy of an honest email24 Jun 2008 22:26 GMT2
Hello, my name is Billy and I suffer from guilt for not forwarding
50 billion f.cking chain letters sent to me by people who actually
believe, if you send them on, a poor six-year-old girl in Scotland with
a breast on her forehead will be able to raise enough money to have it
Diesel prices in the NW these days ??24 Jun 2008 16:29 GMT14
Can anyone post the marine diesel prices in BC and SE Alaska these
days?  I'm wondering if I can afford the Inside Passage anymore.

Time Warner pulls the plug on my newsgroup access tomorrow.  Thanks to those
who have suggested alternatives.  It may be a few days, weeks, or months
till I sit down to get one of them up and running.  Going to be sailing more
and hanging around the computer less for a while.
