WHAT IF?05 Jul 2008 01:48 GMT5
Bruce in Bangkok tried to justify his failure at circumnavigating by writing
the following load of self-serving crap:
"As I once told you, "I'm half way round the world and you are sittingin a
Florida swamp", so who's the sailor. Peter is  half way round the world, and
Why liberals make bad sailors04 Jul 2008 04:06 GMT5

check valve03 Jul 2008 17:59 GMT25
Strangeness... I replaced my old bronze check valve off my main bilge pump
with a new bronze one. Basically identical to the old. It's only been a
short time and it seems to be jamming in the closed position, so that when
the automatic kicks in, the pump runs without ejecting ...
Circuit breakers/fuses in parallel03 Jul 2008 06:01 GMT19
I have been looking for a 30 AMP circuit breaker to add to my rebuild

How's your luck?03 Jul 2008 02:19 GMT2
I can't complain about mine today.  I just got back from a short cruise, two
overnights, up to Boothbay where I anchored in the exact spot as I did on
the first night of my first cruise in Maine.  Thought about all the water
over that dam in the last four decades. Returned via ...

http://www.zacsunderland.com/blog/2008_07_01_archive.html

averaged about 50 miles per day. At this rate he'll be 25 before he goes all

I'm back.02 Jul 2008 06:59 GMT4
Sheesh.  It's raining so hard here I don't even want to go down to the boat
to see if the leak around the lazarette hatch hinges onto the autopilot
keypad is fixed.  So, I decided to try the alternate newsgroup readers
sooner than I though I would get to them.  Sorry for the ...

River Medway pollution - surely this can't be right02 Jul 2008 06:11 GMT1
I have been sailing on the River Medway in Kent and came across two
paper factories discharging huge quanitites of effluent into the tidal
part of the Medway. I thought we had stopped doing this to our rivers
