Composite Propane tank anyone?29 Aug 2009 19:29 GMT24
Saw this on the Food Network a few minutes ago and had to Google it.  A 19
lb composite see-through propane tank made by Lite Cylinder.  Same DOT
approvals as steel and aluminum tanks but about half the price of a Seaward
or Manchester 20# aluminum tank.  Also about 2" shorter ...

Lazyjacks24 Aug 2009 19:12 GMT5
I am considering Lazy jacks for my 28' S2.  Specifically, Iam
considering E-Z Jacks because they can be moved out of the way when
raising the sail and do not require sail cover mods.  However, I have
a bimini that is very close to the boom that might interfere with

teak floor coating21 Aug 2009 01:58 GMT22
We have a teak floor in out boat. It's never been sanded. It's at least
1/4" thick.  We put on Deks Olje about 12 year ago, but it's no longer
made..
Any ideas what we should use now??
Harken Version 2 model 2-187 Furler for sale21 Aug 2009 01:41 GMT7
You are buying a used Harken Model 2-187 roller furler.  This unit has
performed flawlessly for us and the prior owner, with the below noted
exception.  Other than that we elected to replace our standing
rigging, we would still be using this unit.  However, "in for a penny,
Do you have an electrical budget?19 Aug 2009 17:30 GMT3
Do you have a "Electrical Budget"?
Have you ever sat down and figured out how much power you would need
over a 3 day period if the grid went down? If you did, have you ever
tested that budget?

Fast Cat? You Win, Jeff!18 Aug 2009 23:33 GMT7
Okay....went out on a PDQ 36 and we really liked the speed and room,
especially now that Thomas is nearly 5. I think we'll probably keep
the 35s5 Beneteau for a couple of years more, but the idea of the PDQ
36 or a boat like it looks like a lot of fun.
