Wireless Navigation!  It works!07 Jan 2004 22:56 GMT4
Aboard Lionheart, I recently decided it was crazy to have the Dell
Latitude running The Cap'n bolted to the serial cable at the chart
table.  I want to take it up in the cockpit during my watch in the
night so I can operate the Cap'n without leaving my helm/watch duties.

I recently bought a $135 Guest brand 10A (2x5) battery charger.  The
raterfratzer generates so much RF that it blanks my child bride's Icom 706

supplier.
Marine PC's05 Jan 2004 23:47 GMT6

Yaesu FRG-705 Jan 2004 22:45 GMT11
I inherited a Yaesu FRG-7 receiver from my father. I have never used it. As
I get spun up for a "new" life as a live-aboarder I am contemplating the
stuff I will need and have been looking at the FRG-7. Is it a
reasonable/useful item to have aboard?
Garmin 225 replacement.....05 Jan 2004 04:49 GMT8
I currently have a Garmin 225 (DGPS) interfaced to a Furuno 1621 Radar
and Standard Horizon VHF.  It is about time to replace the Garmin
while it still has commercial value.
Question is....  what would you suggest as a replacement?

Anybody have any experience with these little devices?
I'm speaking of the iPAQ series PDA/handheld computers and the Navman

Any information/advice would be appreciated.
