| GPS/Fishfinder. Garmin or Raymarine? | 29 Feb 2004 09:02 GMT | 3 |
I am shopping for a color chartplotter/sounder combo. I think I've narrowed my list down to Garmin's 188C and Raymarine's 7" (L 760CRC) and 10" (L1260CRC). Obviously the price varies with the size of the screen but I was wondering if anyone out there could recommend one and why. ...

| Navico PH-8000 Autopilot | 26 Feb 2004 00:26 GMT | 2 |
First don't tell me to talk to Simrad as the local distributor doesn't own up to knowing anything about this autopilot. I have a Navico PH-8000 power pilot on my 37' Jeanneau Sun Odyssey. The drive is hydraulic and steering is cable driven. My problem is that the

| Extending wire leads on Flux gate sensor | 25 Feb 2004 14:09 GMT | 2 |
I'm installing a Autohelm auto pilot which has a remotely located. The recommendation is a location that is low and near the center of motion. However, the cable lead is only 25ft long. That's about 15ft short of what I will need to reach the ideal area (mid ship).

| ICOM M802 Experiences | 20 Feb 2004 19:27 GMT | 7 |
I know there have been a few posts regarding this radio but I need some real user experience with this radio. The good , the bad and the ugly! Specifically ease of use, reliability and ease of use as an amateur radio solution. Most commercial marine boxes seem to be a bit kludgey

I've got a two year old house bank of two Group 27B's. (the 27B's are supposed to be a little bit better than a plain Group 27) Last summer they seemed to loose their ability to keep my refrigerator and anchor light working as long as they used to and I'm wondering if they are ...
