Ohms law brain freeze28 Nov 2004 14:43 GMT6
I should know this but I just can't get my brain around it.
I have a data logger that will accept 4-20 mA or 0-2.5VDC.  I want to track
the current going to the refrigeration compressor which I figure will be in
the range of 0 to 25 amps (to be safe for start ups).

LEDs17 Nov 2004 14:43 GMT14
Just curious...
Has anyone checked out using low voltage white LEDs for lighting in a boat?
Is this economically (or otherwise)feasible? I understand that they draw
very low voltage/current making them real easy on batteries while providing

I'm not quite sue if this is the right place but any info would be helpful.
Could anyone here please provide me with a circuit diagram for a soundboard
which plays the submarine diving noise? I'll need a complete list of
everything in simple language due to be being new at this.
Horizon SL4517 Nov 2004 01:55 GMT1
Can anyone provide information as to why the Horizon SL45 gauge is
back-ordered so long? Is there an alternative 4" round gauge to fit in

The antenna simply "does not get out".
The boat owner mounted the antenna to a short stainless steel mast
on top of his houseboat. The boat has a metal roof.
Diesel Generator Vibration Issue12 Nov 2004 19:57 GMT15
I have an 8KW Westerbeke diesel generator (about 12 years old) which
has an odd vibration issue at times.  This happens most often under
moderate to heavy load and lasts for 15 to 20 seconds at a time.  The
vibration is so violent that the guages are impossible to read and it
