I am looking for a small, light, simple, and *cheap* fish finder/depth
meter for fishing on my kayak. I do *not* need fancy displays, only
something capable of telling me basically what the bottom looks like,
and help me locate fish.

Any advice on inexpensive depth sounders.....comments on Norcross,
Hummingbird, Uniden, Standard Horizon. The models in the $90 - $150 range.

Have a Toshiba (bluetooth) with Fugawi Marine Navigation Software and am
buying a Garmin GPS 10 (bluetooth, just announced).

I'd like to analyze GPS data with some sort of software helping to learn
something about my regattas.
I've found just GarTrack. It's very very simple and most of all accept just
a strange file format (gardown)

I posted a long explanation to rec.boats.cruising, but Lionheart is on her
third new Raymarine 2KW radome, the other two being eaten alive by the
awful condensation caused by the dome being "drained" instead of
"SEALED"...breathing in and out like an old empty fuel tank every day ...

Bought an HX220S on ebay - but have no manual.  It's labelled as "Standard
