I am looking to set up a laptop on a boat that will receive wifi
signals. I need to install a twenty foot cable from the antenna to a
Proxim orinoco 8011b/g gold wireless card. I have found the cable but
don't know what antenna to attach to it as I want to minimize loss of

Making cable for connecting my GPS to Icom M-601 radio. Icom manual
shows pins for data in and out, external speaker etc.   Unlike with
computer connectors, pins seem not be numbered, so there is some
confusion.  I am unsure whether the picture in the manual is of the

I was recently shown a copy of an article from one of the sailing
magazines (either Blue Water Sailing or Ocean Navigator) in which they
extolled the virtues of quarter wave antennae for marine ssb radios.
The article made two points: 1. No copper ground was needed and 2. the

I have a Ray marine set-up C120, Auto pilot SG3 etc, I have just bough
a shipmodul NMEA multiplexer and a Yeoman at the boat show, I starte
reading all the manuals and have gone into info’ overload.

Traditionally, in a sailboat  we navigate using pre planed routes, but
depending on the weather conditions and other factors,  we can skip one
or more waypoints in the route sequence, doing a GOTO to the next
