Heart EMS-180028 Nov 2006 20:09 GMT1
I was given a Heart EMS-1800 Inverter that had had the 12v polarity
reversed. It does not work now of course, but is it repairable?

Temperature Analog to Digital, NMEA 200026 Nov 2006 01:59 GMT8
I got a Yanmar engine (3YM30).  I only have  an "overheating" signal
but would like to get a temperature gauge installed. I have a C-80
Raymarine on my boat with supposedly can display temperature data when
transmitted in NMEA-2000 format. So it should theoretically be possible
24v/48v Series/Parallel Switch22 Nov 2006 16:03 GMT6
I am looking to make a 24v/48v Series/Parallel Switch so that I can
charge 4 12v batteries at 24v 65A and use them at 48v 200A and wondered
if there was any pointers out there on how to do it - probably with a
few DC contactors.
radar questions20 Nov 2006 00:26 GMT41
I read in Practical Sailor about radar, and their reccomendations were
the Furuno 1715 (? I think), and not rated as good was the 1623.  I

While sailing aboard Derek Baylis, a Wylie Cat 65 this past weekend, I

Is something wrong with my reader or has posting to this group gone from a
few to almost none?  Is it the time of year, or what?

Could somebody please explain the "Open" in NMEA-2000??06 Nov 2006 12:22 GMT13
I'm interested in developing marine electronics for educational
research purposes.
The NMEA 2000 standard looks interesting.  But $3999.00 for just the
main document? (actually, from what I glean from the order page the
