My Kelvin Hughes Huson 70 has developed a fault. At switch-on the
channel display is initially "16", then quickly changes to "EE".
Any advice on diagnosing & fixing the fault would be appreciated.

same wattage?  ie. if you have 2 ungeared motors that both draw 500watts and
one has a max 300RPM the other has a max 1000RPM, ...

Autohelm 4000 drive problem23 May 2007 06:07 GMT7
I have this AH 4000, the clutch lever doesn't work, and I don't know
how to take apart the drive unit "doughnut". That's the part that
attaches to the wheel.  The lever that engages the pilot is not
engaging. So I figure there's a belt or something in there, not sure,
1987 Starcraft wiring w/Mercury outboard22 May 2007 21:23 GMT2
My parents recently gave me their older boat. Dad didn't keep up on
maintenance with it and I'm trying to figure it all out.  Is there a cb
or other protection that would stop the engine from starting or power
tilt from working? It works for a second then stops and nothing.

I am using an insulated backstay.
I used to feed the navtex-receiver with it.
Now I connected it to my ssb transceiver and I am looking for an
alternative antenna for the navtex.
Zinc Fish, what is acceptable measured current ?15 May 2007 17:50 GMT10
On my 39 foot Beneteau 393, I have a zinc fish connected to engine

When I place an analog meter between the fish and the boat's ground, I
read 50 mA with most of my electrics off (except Link20, galvanic

Micrologic GPS battery12 May 2007 10:50 GMT8
I recently purchased a used Micrologic ml250 GPS to use as a backup GPS on
my boat.  After receiving it, I realized that the internal lithium battery
was dead.  I wanted to have it replaced, but Micrologic is out of business.
I've done some reading online and discovered that it's ...
