It's seems Coastal Explorer by Rose Point has gone away. I've not seen
them at the boat show, the web site hasn't be update since March 2007
and the product is also a years old.  I've send e-mail, but no reply. I
called, but get I message.

I have just bought a new boat with one fitted but no cart cartridge.
I can buy 2Gb SD cards for £10.. can I get them programmed with the C-MAP

My new 20 year old Sabre has installed a Data Marine Link 5000 but the
paddle wheel on the water speed sending unit is missing. Anyone have a clue
where this part might be purchased?

Nav & Position report pgm sharing GPS21 Dec 2007 22:05 GMT32
I am running an XP comp.  When underway, I use winlink connections to
give position report, but when I am running my Navigation program
(Cap'n 6.1), the GPS data is unavailable to airmail to get position,
course and speed info.  Is ther ea way to have the GPS feed more than
SeaTTY 1.80 beta is published - with GMDSS DSC decoder now20 Dec 2007 21:24 GMT19

I have an older verison of some navigaiton software on my PC that only
accepts NMEA format input.  Is it possible to tell the Etrex to
communicate uning NMEA or will this GPS only communicate using Garmin
protocol.

We are having difficulties figuring out the shorepower.  Everything
was working fine on 30A, but now that we have moved to a new dock
where there is only 110 we have attached our pig tail to take the 30
to 110 but it trips the breaker on the dock as soon as we plug it in.

I have an older Honda 10 hp outboard that has a charging circuit. The
small boat that it is on has a bilge pump and small AGM battery. The
outboard's charging circuit puts out over 15 volts. Can I put a diode
in the circuit to reduce the voltage? If so what kind of diode?

I have 2x SRM27 (85Ah) flooded batteries approximately 5 yrs old on my
sailboat. I wish to test their remaining Ah capacity by applying a fixed
current load and monitoring the terminal voltage over time.

Just picked up a boat (Sabre 32) and a new chartplotter (Garmin 545). I also
have a laptop onto which I downloaded the free charts for my area.
I know I can wire in my Datamarine 2000 series speed and depth sensors to
the Garmin. I know I can wire the GPS output to one of those ...
