There's a little Island about 15k sq ft big (maybe bigger) just south
east of Bahia Honda State park  around mile marker 30 of the Florida
Keys.  The spot is a little touristy, as you might have to share it
with a person or two on a the weekend. However, I think it's a very

Grand Canyon;  Climbing Out  At  Phantom Ranch ?27 Nov 2003 06:40 GMT4
Trying to set up a Grand Canyon trip.
Would like to do an oars type boat trip, but at my age I don't think I
could ever handle the climb-out at Phantom Ranch.  7 or 8 days is my
trip limit.
towing kayak by kite27 Nov 2003 03:42 GMT8
Just had a really fun experience:
Bought a large 30-square-foot parafoil kite with strong kiteline.
Paddled into strong wind for a fairly long distance.
Threw the big parafoil into the air.

Where to canoe and stay in Northern Idaho26 Nov 2003 15:55 GMT2
Hi folks-- I'm attempting to set up a trip for 10 - 15 people to
Northern Idaho for one week next August in northern, possibly central,
Idaho.  We are looking to rent a couple or three cabins on a
canoe-friendly lake, preferably with hiking trails nearby as well.
Kansas City Whitewater25 Nov 2003 21:06 GMT2
I'm going to be in Kansas City, Missouri the first weekend of December, and
I was wondering if anyone knows where the closest whitewater is to the city
there, what class water, how often it's runnable, etc. Any info would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.
