| Brief intro and question | 01 Jun 2005 00:21 GMT | 5 |
Hi--I'm Deb, and I'm currently an OC2 bow paddler, doing mostly class II with a few class III runs thrown in for excitement and challenge. I'll be taking an OC1 class in June, and hopefully will be able to get the hang of that skill by the end of the summer. I live

Does anyone know of a giant backpack for my inflatable Sea Eagle PaddleSki 435 catamaran-kayak? It has to be 35" tall and 60" in circumference (don't know how that translates into cubic whatever).

| Numb feet and legs | 31 May 2005 01:26 GMT | 3 |
After an hour or two of paddling, my legs go so numb that when I stand up on the dock afterwards, I'm as likely as not to fall down again as my legs collapse under me. Is there some way to adjust my kayak seat to help my circulation?

| Marsport - bargain or p!ss take? | 30 May 2005 09:17 GMT | 3 |
Marsport advertise a Lendal Powermaster paddle online 'with EG1 carbon shaft' for only £ 75.00. Funny that, all other web sites state that the EG1 is a fairly basic, heavy glass fibre shaft.

| Trip Database? | 30 May 2005 04:57 GMT | 3 |
Hi there. Is there a website with a top notch trip database out there? I see several regional sites, but we've flown to the East coast of Canada, and we're in Toronto, so it kind of breaks the invite to travel farther. If there aren't any, I will consider designing one.

| Night safety | 29 May 2005 15:43 GMT | 1 |
As a rule of thumb, I pretend that I am invisible. Not only am I paddling a stealth craft which cannot be detected by any known means, I also have a Cone of Silence around me, so that no noise, no matter how loud, can ever leave my boat. It worked for me riding motorcycles, and it ...

| SOS strobe | 28 May 2005 23:11 GMT | 7 |
A while back, someone was asking about any strobe lights that blinked SOS. I found this at Mountain Equipment Coop: The Intelight Sport <http://www.fox40whistle.com/products/productdetail.php?id=42> It's a multifunction light (a bunch of settings for various brightnesses and

| BCU sticker doesn't stick | 28 May 2005 17:54 GMT | 12 |
I've got a Prijon touring kayak made of HTP; all surfaces have some kind of grainy texture and the BCU sticker tends to come off after a while. (Certain NG trolls will now probably comment 'BCU stickers that don't stick, typical ...').

| need open boat in Costa Rica | 26 May 2005 21:12 GMT | 1 |
I am doing a trip in Costa Rica with some friends at the end of November. We are going with Endless Rivers. Unfortunatly for me they have no open boats ( I paddle a Viper 12). Costa Rica Rios has canoes, but they want $330 to rent one for a week, which I think is steep.

| suggestions for kid/family friendly river to raft in NW Georgia | 26 May 2005 14:09 GMT | 4 |
I'd like to take my family (kids aged 13, 12, 7) rafting in mid-June possibly on the Chattooga or Ocoee or other suitable river. (Ohioans travelling to Augusta, GA for brother-in-law's wedding.) I've kayaked for years on Class IV water (including the Lower Yough, the Lower Gauley, ...
