I've had a Nimbus Solander since the late 80s, which I've enjoyed
immensely. But the rubber cover on the bow hatch is deteriorating and
needs replacement. I measured it, and its outside diameter is 8".
However, the replacement round hatches I've found on the web are 7.5".

My family will be traveling to Seattle area in August for about a week,
and we're looking for a relatively calm water to paddle around.

Is it possible to mount oarlocks on my heritage featherlight kayak?
I would like them to be removeable for transport, but offer another
method of exercise.  I mainly kayak on the Missouri River in ND no

I have a houseboat that I'd like to take out some this
winter, and I'd like to have a small wood stove to use
in it. All the small wood stoves I've been able to find

Mine are stuck on pretty good and after many tries it seems like they will

I am a kayaking newby and I have been offered a Pyranha 255 H3 which I am
told is in good nick.  I've also been told to move fast as it is a desirable
model. I want to do flat water day touring mainly and while some people say
the H3 is a 'long' boat, others say it is only long ...

Aberdeen, primarily to provide marine forecasts but it also provides
forecasts for mountain use, winter road conditions and aviation use.
