| "Sea" kayaking near Keswick | 27 Nov 2005 20:06 GMT | 4 |
I bought myself a new boat in the end of season sale at Knoydart, so we will go up next week to pick it up. We're thinking of making a weekend out of it, stay the night and go for a paddle the next day before driving back. Assuming the blizzards will have stopped by then what ...

| Looking for advice on eco-trip in Florida | 27 Nov 2005 16:01 GMT | 4 |
I plan in December to go to Florida with a family to some kind of eco-trip. I want to be able to rent a kayak for 1-3 day trip (without kids) and with a family to go hiking, site seeing, short canoe/kayak trips and some activities for 11 year old kids. I prefer lake/river

| Choosing a whitewater canoe? | 26 Nov 2005 17:52 GMT | 22 |
I am planning to buy a whitewater canoe, preferably used. I looked a little on the web, but found little on how to choose a whitewater canoe. I have been running whitewater in my Old Town Camper canoe, not exactly the right canoe for the job, but I have successfully run class III ...

| Please recommend an SOT kayak for ... | 24 Nov 2005 16:11 GMT | 2 |
class II and III rapids, ocean surf and leisurely rides down a calm river. From my research it seems like the Dagger Pegasus sit-on-top kayak was exactly what I'm looking for. It is no longer in production. Can anyone recommend a good, all-around sit-on-top kayak.

| Tow belt problems | 24 Nov 2005 12:53 GMT | 4 |
NRS and other kayak equipment manufacturers make tow belts but incorporate Aluminiun Climbing Beeners into the mix. We that play on salt water soon realize Aluminium and The Sea are a bad mix.

| Humboldt Bay Paddle Fest Report | 23 Nov 2005 20:53 GMT | 5 |
A little late in the telling, but this fun event (3rd year) was held Oct.8 & 9th in Eureka, California. It was a glorious weekend, lots of sun, with a very light breeze in the afternoon. Oh wait, it's always foggy and/or raining here......Lots of vendors, different programs, and ...

| Which canoe is faster in the real world | 22 Nov 2005 17:23 GMT | 3 |
I've got a Wenonah Voyager and I am very pleased with it, it is indeed a very fast flatwater solo, although one or two reviews on paddling.net are overstating things a bit, likening its speed to an olympic K1. At the end of the day, you have to have the strength and the stamina to ...

I've found "It's My Life" video clip and two other short movies featuring Nic Riosa, New Zealand marathon racer, racing mostly in Europe. Increadible balance and technique for launching from a dock and portaging! http://race.fit2paddle.com/C2135916708/E20051113124610/index.html

Has anyone tried to paddle from Roosevelt Lake to Granite Flat along the Salt River. I was looking at this on Google Earth and was wondering if the three dams at Apache, Canyon and Saguaro Lake can be portaged? I am looking for a Canoe Camping/Fishing trip that will take
