How close do you have to be to benefit from drafting21 Sep 2006 05:51 GMT19
I was following behind  this guy about 10 ft for entire race. It took
quite a bit of effort to steer to stay behind him. I tried hard to get
closer but for some reason I couldnt. I guess I could have got behind
someone going slower.

How much faster is a double kayak?18 Sep 2006 03:26 GMT16
There were these two girls in a double kayak that stayed ahead of me
for entire race. They were windmilling and it did not look like they
were putting in much effort while I was paddling like a madman with a
proper race stroke and wing blade. I was using a necky tesla. First

paddling? Stretching for enlargening the radius of the easily possible
movements, balancing to help with... well keeping the balance in
unstable conditions?

New to the group - greetings to all!
I have an old clipper square stern canoe that is somewhat worse for
wear. I want to fix it myself, pretty sure that it is doable, as most of
the damage is cracked / missing fibreglass.  I've spent the last hour
