BAD paddling on Survivor! Help?24 May 2007 16:15 GMT7
I've noticed the past couple years whenever I look in on the Survivor
tv show that whenever they're in a boat/canoe they are using high-end
nice wood'n'carbon paddles. Bent shaft. And they're ALWAYS using them
backwards. Uniformly. I'm thinking that some staffer is telling them
Would Jesus have owned a motorboat?21 May 2007 15:26 GMT32
Judging by the down-to-earth way he went around preaching, Jesus would
have paddled a kayak or canoe in order to meet the ordinary people. Of
course, he didn't preach to the Eskimos, which is why there's no
stories of him aboard a paddle boat.

it looks to have some kind of hole or damage.
it looks like the canoe was just beached in a rocky beach and damaged
occurred.  should I be worried?

IK - Sevylor, Stears, or Sea-Doo?14 May 2007 17:57 GMT7
I want to buy a two-person inflatable kayak and was keen on the
Sevylor Colorado or Stearns Back Country which are about the same
price, but I've just found a Sea-Doo IK at Costco which is much
cheaper and includes paddles. It's not mentioned anywhere on the
Access to Maryland C & O Canal Paw Paw tunnel14 May 2007 12:27 GMT7
Is it possible to canoe through the Paw paw tunnel on the C & O
Canal?  If so, where is a good place to access the canal,
preferably on the south side of the side of the tunnel?
Also, does Maryland have registration requirements for canoes?
Lakes etc to paddle in Tasmania14 May 2007 02:38 GMT1

tandem boat and tandem outfitting question06 May 2007 05:21 GMT7
I'm thinking about getting a new tandem boat, primarily for playing in
easy whitewater (II-III).  My wife and I currently (and will continue)
to paddle our old XL-13's solo, and we have an ancient Blue Hole 17A.
We want something smaller and more responsive, that would be more fun
